How to Use Google Questions Hub to Generate Content Ideas

One of the biggest problems faced by brands and marketers is finding ideas for content. It can take longer to work out what to write than it takes to write the post.

A new resource by Google might provide the answer. It's called Google Question Hub, and it just became available in the United States.

What is Google Question Hub, and How Does it Work?

Google Question Hub is intended to help searchers. When you can't find an answer to your question, you can submit the question to Question Hub.

Google then sends those unanswered questions to publishers. Searchers get better information and publishers get relevant ideas to build content around. At least in theory, everyone wins.

How Do You Use Google Question Hub?

As a publisher, you can sign up for Google Question Hub at questionhub.withgoogle.com. You have to have verified ownership of a site in Search Console to use it, so if you have not verified your site you will have to do that first. There's no way to access the questions without a verified site.

Then you will have access to a dashboard which lets you add questions to a list you intend to answer. You can use existing content to answer a question, which may improve traffic and search ranking.

Or you can use it as an ideas list to create new content. Because the questions are ones users felt were not properly answered or they couldn’t find when Googling, then you can be sure that your new content will help at least some people with their issues. It also provides analytics so you can see how well your content is doing.

If you are struggling to find ideas for your content marketing or blog, Question Hub might help solve your problems. Certainly, it contains a treasure trove of content ideas that are all but guaranteed to be useful to your potential customers.
